Like... when you stop at one of those tourist shop gas stations in Florida, and see those hanging things made out of macrame and seashells. I mean, what are those things? People obviously buy them, or they wouldn't keep making them...<br /><br />It should be something big. And cheap. Yard-sale cheap. If you get them something expensive, it will mean you're just frittering away their son's money, you awful, awful woman.<br /><br />Wait. I just remembered. My mom found a bedpan at her elderly neighbor's yard sale (allegedly unused), bought a bunch of silk flowers, and made a decorative holiday floral arrangement out of it. And shipped it to her best friend as a Christmas joke. He loved it.
