Primo: Maybe my dad would realize how grateful he was to me and acknowledge all the help I had given them.

Primo: Although on my dad's last day, when Jack and I were with him in the room, he was delirious and saying that he was going to disinherit Jack and me and leave it all to Ted.

You are a good wife. Me? I'm not sure I'd have been able to rein in my sarcastic eyebrow. But let him continue to tell these stories... sometimes it helps to pretend that you got the parents you deserved, even if the fantasy only lasts a little while.

DeleteYes he did, Joan. Primo can (and does) annoy the heck out of me, but he is a kind, generous, thoughtful man. He was a wonderful son to Sly. Sly was an awful father to Primo.
