In which Primo is concerned that my mother might be offended by his political signs in the yard

Primo: Will the signs bother your mother?

[Primo and my mother do not agree politically.]

Me: Probably.

Primo: Uh oh.

Me: What?

Primo: She'll be offended.

Me: Well, she probably won't like them. So?

Primo: Should I take them down?

Me: What? No! She doesn't agree with you, but she would never, ever say anything. She's not like that.

Primo: Right. Neither were my mom and dad.

And we laugh merrily.
