In which Primo finds - surprise! - more boxes of empty booze bottles, even though he has already spent two months cleaning the house and has had a garage sale

Primo: I'm cleaning out the garage. I found a box of junk that the junk people didn't get. It had receipts for big purchases of booze. Like four or five big bottles at a time. No wonder they had health problems.

  1. Well, I've purchased a case of 6 1.75-liter bottles when it's something that I drink regularly and it's on sale. But 1) we used to drink a lot, and 2) even when we did, those bottles would last us six months to a year.

Now that I've slowed down and my wife has quit, I haven't had to buy any booze for almost a year, which was nice. I also often bring a bottle of the nicer stuff with me when I visit friends.

    1. We buy the really nice stuff so we can serve it to guests. But we moved all of Primo's booze into the house 8 years ago and most of it is still in the cabinet. I use bourbon to make bourbon balls at Christmas and I use sherry in cooking. I don't care about booze - I would rather have butter as my poison.

  2. Poor Primo, it is not fun cleaning up after a loved one. To clean after the mess of all the dysfunction and misery that was Sly & Doris's life together must be excruciating. I hope it truly is over by now and the trusts are settled, too, by now.

    1. Thanks, Anon. Unfortunately, it is not over yet, but at least Ted has shut up for a while.

  3. Imagining Ted duct taped...in the trunk of a car.
