In which Primo and I agree that he will run for office again while I wail and gnash my teeth but he gives me a rock-solid argument of 1. we can afford for him not to work for another few months and 2. wouldn't it be nice for him to have just a few months of his life to do something without his parents' drunken breath down his back

And he did inherit some money, albeit against Sly's wishes.

So yeah.

We are back in the political game.

  1. If Primo moved back to California (and into a district I'm registered in) I could vote for him! By the way, I've commented here three times today after a little archive binge and I don't remember if I've ever commented here before, so:

Hi! I love your blog. I discovered it awhile ago through Captain Awkward. My mom had the crap parents in our family, and she's finally free of the last one (and sees it that way—sweet, sweet freedom), and the poor woman had awful in-laws too (long gone) because they were decent parents but she wasn't "good enough" for their Precious Only Boy (my father). I feel like your blog helps give me insight into her situation. Vent here about things ranging from the merely annoying to the downright terrible for as long as you like; I'll be reading!

    1. Hi Racing Turtle. Thank you for your kind words. I hate this kind of family crap, but it does help to know we are not alone. (And it does give me material. :) )

  2. These comments make me so thankful for my own family. My own family is mostly rational and lovely, and my in-laws couldn't be nicer. I love them all. I am so lucky and I'm sad for everyone who has a crappy family.
