In which the blog will go on

You guys, I thought that once Sly and Doris were dead, there would be nothing for me to write about.

But now it looks like there will be drama about the will. Stay tuned. I can't wait. Can you?

  1. I'm happy the blog will go on, because I love your writing (and I loved all your growing up and entering the workforce stories). But I don't wish probate drama on you.
I hope you and Primo did get to your cottage at Lake Superior to decompress and you had beautiful sunsets - and no cel phone access.

    1. Ah emma, thank you! I try not to give away the plot, but we did get our vacation and it was (mostly) lovely, except for Ted.

  2. I just want to say that your musings about life with an engineer and your cats and your family anecdotes and your slightly-resentful-but-still-supporting tone with Primo are all vastly entertaining.

The flaming trainwreck that was Sly and Doris was fascinating, in a flaming trainwreck sort of way, but I hang around here because I like you Goldy. Just fyi.

  3. I admit, I was cringing before because you had been talking so much about Sly saying he needed to know what Ted and Jack's mom was going to leave them before he could do his will, so I was actually figuring there was *no* will at all, and that was going to be a fight.

So... no, not surprised. Unfortunately. Stay strong! Stay sane! - Here, want some of my ice cream?

  4. Hooray that there will be more blog but not hooray for more drama.

  5. So conflicted right now: sorry for the death and drama, but gladdened that the blog will continue. I wish you and Primo a reasonably paced and relatively equitable distribution of assets

  6. I'm so sorry for Primo that he lost both of his parents (assholes that they were) in such short order and has been so stressed out. I'm also glad, because at least now (hopefully) you'll both have a lot less stress to deal with - I feel like you really deserve it.

Also, add me to the chorus that likes ALL your stories!

  7. After the jaw drop ( :o ) moment when I read that Sly had died, I thought "well, the will will cause more drama". Sorry to see I was right. But glad the blog continueth! Ted: Sly's natural successor...he'd be so proud :/ J xx
