Me: That was awful! I cannot believe how mean your dad was
to your mom!
Primo: What?
Me: Tonight! When your dad was yelling at your mom!
Primo: Oh, yeah. When I was a kid, I thought that kind of
bullying was normal. That kind of yelling and intimidation happened all the
time at our house. My dad has always been a bully and I thought that’s just
what life was like. Even tonight, it seemed normal to me.
