Ch 12 My brother and my sister each make a toast welcoming Primo to the family
My brother stands. “I would like to make a toast,” he says. “We are very
happy to have Primo in our family. My sister is a special person and she waited
a long time to find the right man. We had given up. But as soon as I met Primo,
I knew her wait – and ours –had been worth
it. Here’s to Goldie and Primo.”
Jenny stands. “I also want to welcome Primo to our family.
He is a great guy. I can tell he loves my sister and that she loves him. We are
very lucky that our family has grown to include Primo. I couldn’t ask for a
better brother in law.”
Two weeks before our wedding, my husband's parents called to tell him 1. they weren't coming and 2. he shouldn't marry me. Since then, I have gotten along with them about as well as you might think. PS They died hating me and disinherited my husband. PPS None of this is made up.
And now, Primo is running for state-level public office for the November 2018 election. And - it's not fun. For either of us.
